CHEWELAH RURAL CAUCUS NEWSLETTER — OCTOBER 2025 OUR FUTURE...Here we go!
The Leadership Team (LT) has decided on a format that is definitely different from the past.
The first two months of the 1st quarter will have at least one activity in each month. It depends on what is going on around us.
The 3rd month in each quarter will be for our Business Meeting.
We will try to continue to meet at the UCC Church on the 2nd Monday of each month. Our Business Meeting will always be on that day. However, when we do different activities it may not always be on the 2nd Monday. The newsletter will always give the correct day for all the meetings.
From November–April: 1–3 p.m. From May–October: 6–8 p.m. (This reflects the time change and driving in the dark.)
November Activities Veterans Day – Tuesday, November 11 We will protest in front of the UCC Church from 10–11 a.m. This is to Honor VETS and say: “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.” And to say NO — NO to ICE NO to CUTS NO to OCCUPATION
Thursday, November 13 — Food Drive for the Chewelah Food Bank We will be at the UCC Church from 9–11 a.m. to collect food and monetary donations from the CRC.
The Food Bank especially needs meats, if possible, and of course, cash donations are always helpful. Trucks will take supplies over to the Food Bank before 11 a.m. along with donations.
If donating by check, the Food Bank will write a receipt to the name on the check and mail it to you. Mail checks to: %Chewelah Rural Caucus 401 S. Park St., PMB #114 Chewelah, WA 99109
Thank you for helping the CRC support the Food Bank, our community, and rural families.
WE WISH EVERYONE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY 2025!
December Activity Monday, December 8 — Cookie Exchange From 1–3 p.m. at the UCC Church, we’ll have a COOKIE EXCHANGE with coffee and tea. Let’s take the afternoon to relax, talk, and maybe even vent before Christmas.
Everyone is invited — the more cookies, the better!
January 2026 Monday, January 12 — Business Meeting
Our first Business Meeting of 2026 will be held from 1–3 p.m. We’ll review the Treasurer’s Report and discuss any changes or ideas for the new year.
We may also have guest speakers or training sessions.
If a protest comes up, you will be notified by email.
